Growing up in Thailand, coming from a small city on the river bank. I saw the overgrowth of the water hyacinth on the waterways, and the environmental impact it had on the local community. 

I also found joy in the beautiful handcraft of the designs local artisans made from harvested water hyacinth, turning one environmental problem into a solution for another. I wanted to support my local community and create a sustainable income for the local artisans. I believe with appealing designs and the right message, the real value in the traditional handcraft would be cherished by many who also believe in a sustainable future for fashion.
